Final prep

janestarzI kicked my butt into gear on Saturday to sew a test-blouse from a pattern I drafted for the technical exam tomorrow. It was nice to see my drafting skills were on par, the side-front and side-back seams met effortlessly on the shoulder seam and the collar went in perfectly.
This morning I woke up with the feeling of a lazy Sunday. Eisirt and I snuggled in bed longer than usual and I was pondering the next things I would be making. Summer is very nearly at my doorstep, freedom from schoolwork and only my muse's wonderful ideas to follow to my sewing desk.
But not quite yet! As the day progressed, I slowly felt more crappy every passing hour. I still had the fabric for my exam blouse to cut! I started after having some tea, and I've just finished. By now it feels like I'm running a temperature. *sigh*
My throat has been bothering me since last night, so I'm definitely not done with this cold. I just hope it kicks in tonight or tomorrow, because there's nothing more annoying than a sore throat all day! I can't wait for it to start so it will be over soon.
The parts of my blouse are all lying ready for tomorrow, interfaced and all. My test blouse went really well and very quickly. But first I'll take a little nap to see if I can beat this cold before it turns into a Thing.
