Working my way up
Sep. 23rd, 2002 02:26 pmSo Patrick is in here, trying his utter best (which probably won’t be good enough) to fix our bathroom. The toilet is still leaking water and since it’s the second time we have to pay rent it’s going to be two months that we’ve lived here. Bucketing water in the toilet. Man, that was annoying. I hope he fixes it. That, and the bathroom door so guests can lock the bathroom if they go use the toilet.
If he manages to pull it off, we’re going to be able to have the beerfest to officially inaugurate the house.
I’ve finished reading ‘Bored of the Ring’, a parody on Lord of the Rings. It was hilariously funny at some points, the dry senseless humor is literally flung at you from every angle. You’d have to be able to bear with that, otherwise you’d think the book is dry and not funny at all. The final battle at the gate of Fordor as well as the description of Eorache gave me the image clear in my mind. I have a very suggestive mind indeed. I think in images. Which can be pretty embarrassing at times, I tell you.
I just painted my nails, the longest ones, that is. My thumbs are now yellow and red (left) and red and black (right) flames. It is creepy and creative.
Also when I was in the village this morning I bought fabric to make me a poncho. It’s going to be purdy and warm (I hope). I’ll first finish the last seam of the Damien-tunic and then I’m off to work on my poncho. That could be done this afternoon too. I also bought some herbs and wonderful Aloe Vera shampoo, the non-animal tested kind. I like that. That the stuff I use is not used on animals, I mean. Plus it smells good too!
I hear the toilet flushing *sip of coffee*. Maybe he pulled it off and proven that he has a brain after all. *looks at face* Not a chance. Sorry.
So work last night was pretty good. I had tables 1-9 (which is basically nine tables but only six were taken) and they were all in good humor. Because of the Sundayness factor almost everyone left early (work Monday, home early, that’s the spirit!) and there was no table-setting, only barbecue-scrubbing. I like working Sundays.
What else is there to tell. Ah yes. The runes I read said I was heading for a tough week, so I’ll prepare before class and think and get together with project-mates and discuss and be all ..euhm..what’s the word? Interested. That’s it.
Off to have breakfast and finish the Damien-tunic. Man, four pages of backdate entry this weekend. I’ll have to work hard to update it all tomorrow.
