Boots, shoes, supplies and shopping

This afternoon I went shopping with Eisirt for shoes. It's only six more weeks to Drachenfest and since I've got special soles for my shoes, I doubt my medieval shoes will work for much longer (I also can't wear any kind of heels anymore, so if there's anyone in size 42 that wants to raid my closet, drop me a line!). As a back-up plan, I wanted to have "kisten" - Dutch army shoes - and those need a while to get used to. It's been several years since I had a pair of these last, so we had to find an army surplus dump store to get them.

Tilburg had one, and soon enough a size 42 was tried on and bought. For € 89,- I was a pair of boots richer.
But the shopping haul continued. We also visited the Ecco store in Tilburg, who were just starting their sale. We looked at DVDs in the Saturn store and browsed the Xenos as well. On our way back to Eindhoven, we stopped at Ikea for some much-needed Samla boxes for storing fabrics (I'm bound to get around to sorting through dolphirl's donations soon) and larp costumes.

Here's the loot:

• Four Samla storage boxes, with lids and clasps (not in picture);
  
• A smaller IKEA 365+ frying pan for when I'm just cooking a burger for my old lonesome (not in picture);
  
• My new army boots;
  
• My new Ecco shoes for only € 99,- (my latest pair of Ecco's lasted 18 months and I'm not ready to declare them 'broken' yet even though the soles are breaking apart. I might be able to get to 2 years with them, come the autumn rains...);
  
• A lemonade pitcher for smoothies or iced water;
  
• Two isolation cups in a can form;
  
• A bug zapper;
  
• Two ladles for my wok;
  
• Some chocolate-making supplies: a melting spoon and spatula, and two chocolate molds;
  
• A holder for my phone^* that sticks to my windshield for when I use it to navigate;
  
• The Extended boxset of LOTR;
  
• 20 Audio CDs to be burned (not in picture);
  
• The Generation Kill miniseries and Love Actually on DVD.

I realise Lenny often has a lot more clothes and frilly things to photograph, but I shop a little more sensibly and make a lot of mundanewear for myself. This was sensible shopping!

*) When you read what it says in big letters on the box, it nearly sounds like it holds the car instead of the phone. I guess it would need to be bigger for that.

Tip als je langer plezier van je schoenen wil hebben: koop meer schoenen! :-)
Serieus; ik doe járen met mijn favoriete exemplaren, gewoon omdat ik ze regelmatig afwissel in plaats van full-time op een of twee paar te lopen.

Eigenlijk zou ik dat ook wel willen maar het wisselen van steunzolen is helemaal niet zo leuk en eigenlijk zou ik wel graag mooie schoenen willen dragen maar alles wat enigzins open is of enigzins een hak heeft kan al niet meer.
Poo.
Ik baal daar best van, want op hakken lopen doet gewoon zeer, en platte schoenen onder een rokje vind ik eigenlijk niet mooi. Schoenen die wel plat zijn maar open boven de wreef, zoals elegante Ballerina-boten (met maat 42 is elke platte schoen bijna een boot) vallen ook af, omdat ik dan te weinig steun heb aan de schoen en mijn enkel gewoon weer naar binnen kwakt.

Maarja, ik wil toch nog wel een jaar of 50 kunnen lopen, dus steunzolen moeten dan maar.... liever een paar goeie paren schoenen die wat duurder zijn. Hoef je ook niet zo vaak meer te wisselen. En ik vergeet altijd meer schoenen te kopen als mijn huidige 'dagelijkse' paar nog goed is.

Kijk, dat noem ik sensible shopping!
Ik ben een maat 42... Maar hoeveel hak is schoenen met hak? Anders lijkt een keertje thee drinken me helemaal zo gek nog niet =P

Ik heb van alles, van maar een paar centimeter tot echt giga stiletto. En iedereen verzekert me dat "een avondje op hakken gewoon kan" maar als ik nu al na een dag stilzitten (met mijn krent op een stoel) niet meer kan lopen (die twee trips naar de koelkast waren dus al te veel) dan heb ik geen hoop meer.

Ik heb weekend op zondag en maandag, maar je mag natuurlijk ook 's avonds een keer naar Eindhoven komen!

Sip zeg! Balen dat het niet meer kan... Liever kunnen lopen dan mooi zijn denk ik ja.
