Small chores
Jun. 6th, 2014 09:30 amHaving canceled all my plans for the evenings of this week (including school), informing my boss and working on the planning with her in a relaxed way, and not having to go anywhere this weekend is feeling absolutely wonderful, I must say. I also asked if I can switch school nights from Wednesday to Monday, and that took away a lot of stress too. I hope I can!
I haven't been doing anything much these past few evenings. I've watched a lot of Buffy, so I've been checking under the bed before I turn off the lights. *snort*
It also freed up my hands for a few small chores that had been lying around. I refuse to pick up larger chores like hemming my living room curtains, but small chores I can handle.
- I paid my tax bill, which was in remarkably quickly (probably because I owed them money).
- I re-made my amethyst bracelet, whose lobster clasp was suffering from metal fatigue. I had to re-string the tiny, tiny flakes onto the tiger tail wire, which was a challenge!
- I also knitted a test piece for my next big transportable project.
- I sweeped the living room and cleared away the screws and tools I had used a week or two ago.
- I framed a picture of my dad and updated my paper portfolio and picture book.
- I put the cables of my sewing machines in HEMA cable clips that stick to the underside of the table. Awesome!
- I copied the receipt from my new steam generator iron and updated my petrol usage spreadsheet (1:18 last Sunday! Woohoo!).
While I'm at home waiting for the Indesit repairman (will my dryer finally get fixed!? OMG!) I might as well take the time to write and take pictures for my June update of the brown hexagon quilt, which is overdue. Now that my floor is clean again, I have the space to lay out all the flowers I made... and it's a lot this month!
