Movie Park Germany
May. 25th, 2014 10:24 pmThis morning
mrtimmey,
yavain and
eisirt came to pick me up. We drove for a small hour to what was formerly known as Warner Brother's Movie World in Germany. Movie Park Germany, it's now called, and the Looney Tunes have made room for Dora the Explorer and Nickelodeon world. But not to fear! It was still seven colours of awesome!
We started in Nickelodeon world, with a ride on a flying mill, where you lie on your tummy and fly like Superman. A great way to kick off a sunny day. We soon followed it up with a ride on the Mystic River, which is a river rapids ride through lovely scenery. We didn't get very wet the first time around, but later in the afternoon we did the ride again because it was so cool and Eisirt got plenty wet!
There was also a flying roller coaster where your feet have nothing underneath, a ghost chaser ride where it seems your cart is running off the tracks at every turn, and the Van Hellsing's factory which is a ride in the dark with ghost effects. The scariest part of that ride is that you can't see where you're going so you're really rattled like a tooth in a dice cup. The best one was the wooden roller coaster they had, with over two minutes of roller coaster time and an awesome ride to boot!
At the end of the afternoon we filed into the bleachers at the Studio 6 cop stunt show. The story wasn't all that, but the stunts were amazing. Some awesome driving skills all around, from a guy riding a motorcycle while sitting with his legs on the front wheel to cop cars drifting around an old lady.

I was very impressed with the driving skills and of course there was a bit of pyrotechnics to go around. I shot a short clip and put it on Flickr. Please watch it there.
Mr.Timmey won a purple minion fluffy toy for Yava'in, we had fries in the shade and rode all the rides until we weren't quite sick enough to regurgitate ourfrench fries pommes. A wonderful day!!
