With last night's succes in hemming my WIP shirt and finishing a project (woohoo!) I picked up one of my HEMA longsleeves and re-did that hem this morning. My coverlock was set up in purple and for a hemming stitch anyway, and that hem had been unraveling for quite a while.

With not one but two successes in rapid succession, I felt more energised and decided to tackle some minor home improvement things too. I'd picked up screws, a new doorhandle and the bathroom light I'd ordered in February, so there was still things to be done.
I did the doorhandle after dinner and used the screws to hang up two more IKEA Fintorp rods and pots for my herbs (IKEA seems to think these are only good for "cutlery storage"). I've got two rods in front of my kitchen window, with small and wide pots suspended from it, and I added two more. The one on the bottom will hold more herbs (more!) and the one all the way at the top can be home to a curtain to protect the herbs from the hot summer sun.

Now that those two things are done, I might even get around to hemming my living room curtains, but we mustn't rush things.

Wij hebben in onze keuken ook zo'n roede. Helaas komt er weinig licht bij ons binnen, dus hangen er nep plantjes in. Maar ook kruidenrekjes en kopjes aan haakjes. Ik vind het er gezellig uit zien. Fijn dat je een raam in je keuken hebt en dat je zo lekker je draai aan het vinden bent in je huis.
