Sewing!!!
I should probably make this a recurring theme with its own tag, strike things off the list so I can look back on projects well done (or at least: finished). "Project List" sounds about right.
I might update this list when I think of other projects lying around.
- Finish mom's quilt: make & attach label, make & attach bias tape. Photograph.
- Brown Hexagon quilt. Slow but steady progress.
- My blue quilt. One day.
- Tumbling blocks quilt. Got all the fabris.
- My New House quilt. Got a jelly roll.
- And then there's this thing. I think I might still have that somewhere.
Knitting & assorted yarn crafts
- I seem to be working on a scarf for my mother (which started as a gnome glitter blanket). I don't seem to be finishing it. Perhaps I should toss it?
- I would like to learn doubleface weaving. It's supposedly not all that hard and it would make a great gift on Drachenfest to give a Sindarin saying to friends... Why don't days have 48 hours in them! Why can't we live on 2 hours of sleep! Squirrel!
- There's wool lying around for a car-poncho, but I have bought a good car poncho, so I might recycle this for something else. Ten balls of yarn can make something pretty, but it beats me what it can be.
- I'd like to pick up Nalebinding again. It's so cool to do and people can't wrap their heads around it. Also, have yarn, can travel.
- There's also yarn for socks lying around and my mother gave me Norwegian yarn last year for a pair of socks.
Leatherwork
- Beriadanwen needs something like this. Oh yes.
- Possibly some other leather accessoiries to go with above piece.
- And a kidney belt for Maerquin in November.
Sewing!!!
- Sew several more layers for Eisirt's Drachenfest costume.
- Formal court dress for Tegingûr and Beriadanwen.
- Possibly that velvet robe for Beriadanwen too.
- The Maerquin costumes for 6 people. Just tunics, but they require some thought.
- Adjustments need to be made for my Drachenfest costume parts. My gambeson needs to be taken in and my old, old Beriadanwen trousers I fit again need to have their hems let down a bit.
- Sew wedding outfits, as several of my friends are getting hitched this year. I made a skirt at work yesterday that is really cool, so it's just a matter of finding the fabric and working out the pattern and then sewing it, but I'm getting really darn good at sewing a top in a record time. (Something about work, a new collection, 160 pieces of clothing and a rapidly advancing deadline.)
- There's a velvet court dress bouncing around in my head, but there's no way I've got time for that any time soon.
- I still want to make myself a bra, and I've got all the pieces, the know-how and the fabric. Now for some time...
- Take in three dresses I made so I can wear them again.
- Take in several pants (also work trousers) so I can wear them again.
- My current school project: White panther jacket.
- A blouse in dark blue with purple flowers. Might be nice to finish before summer. Possible next school project.
- Guus' Tarot pouch.
