BHQ: March Progress
Mar. 31st, 2014 02:39 pmA few days ago I picked up an old project. I called in sick for work and decided very adamantly to not work on unpacking boxes or clearing away old rubbish. Since I needed to do something with my hands, this was it.
As you can see, over the weekend I only did a few flowers, but it feels good to be working on this project again. As I explained to Eisirt today: yes, it's a huge (masochistic) project, but there's no rush in it. It's a very portable project and I enjoy working on it. You can just idle with some hexagons and a needle. Despite the fact I need to sew over 3000 of those hexagons together, it's very relaxing.

I only sewed 3 days in March on this, but it's still progress.
One thing that irks me is that I have made a duplicate!
I really wanted to avoid having the same flower twice, but here you can clearly see a duplicate flower. I wonder if anyone will ever notice in a 375 flower quilt. What do you think? Should I tear it up, or leave it be?

Date: 2014-04-02 11:54 am (UTC)Well done with your progress! Like you I am so busy that it's hard to make time for hexagons, but little bits get done now and then.
Happy hexagoning! :)
