Before and After pics of the Kitchen
Mar. 1st, 2014 09:10 pmTomorrow we pass the two-month marker of me being a home owner, and I thought I'd take a moment to celebrate how far we've come.
I couldn't have done any of these wonderful things without the help of my family and friends. Many kisses and cuddles to each and everyone who helped.
During the first phase you wonder if it's ever going to be alright....

The kitchen being "renovated".

And the bathroom with holes everywhere...
...but after a while, things start to take shape.

The guys from Fritz are finishing the walls. All the electric outlets and water points and drains should be in the right places, or Ikea will not be able to install....

And here they are. These are very handy pictures to keep around, just in case something starts to leak or you need to drill into walls...
Then the plasterer came to smooth everything over and make my walls straight (money well spent!)
And then the kitchen came. Here are some stunning before and after pictures:
Before:

Original Funda Image. Copyright not mine.
After:

Ikea Ståt fronts with the Faktum standard cupboards and black Fintorp grips.
The entire kitchen was placed on wooden blocks so the countertop is at perfect height (103 cm).

After:

Wallpaper change, sanded and painted the doors and doorframes. From dull grey to cream white. The plastic that was over the doors has been painted and wallpapered too, which makes for a much lighter effect.
Still working on the bathroom and bedroom, but the latter is nearly finished. I hope to be moving in very soon.
