Fabric Haul

janestarzArmed with my trusted colour-card (showing colours that match my complexion) I went to Den Bosch today for a little fabric shopping. What I needed was just a bit of black canvas cotton for my Anarquendor Dress Robes.
What I got as well was this:
PW Hoofs has three stores in the same street. One carries carnaval costumes and too much glitter, one has all the fashion fabrics (but lacks any kind of system or style, I might have been spoiled by 't Lapke in Tilburg!) and one has haberdashery and remnant fabrics.
The fabrics in the back of the last store are sorted by warm and cool colours. On one hand are all the yellow tones: from sunflower to madder, from olive to chestnut. There were a few emeralds I could have gotten away with, but I focused mainly on the cool-hand side of the fabrics.
From bottom to top: The bottom fabric (wool) will be my new medieval gown, with the one on top of it (a cotton) as lining. The pink will be a medieval summer smock, possibly without sleeves as it's only 3 meters. The light purple/almost grey linen will work as a lining for either the purple, although the wool is light enough to be see-through, so I doubt that will work. There's also a coupon of blue wool for a hood to match either dress and will do well with the linen lining.
I'm thinking about having the petrol/blue dress as a basic gown with long sleeves, and wear the pinkish one over it as a gates-of-hell for special occasions. I just hope three meters will be enough! Of course, I'd love to hear your suggestions.
These were all two or three euro per meter, so I just paid 35 euro for two dresses and a hood. I also paid 35 euro for my Dress Robes fabric, and that's not counting the interfacing I still have to pay for at work.
