Since I've been out on the road in my very first self-owned car, I've encountered taxi drivers reading a book on the highway at 80 kph, people people losing the axle of their canoo cart and truck drivers ignoring all roadworks and happily cruising on at 120 kph.

Road rage and bumper-glue excepted, there's a lot of downright crazy or stupid people out there on the road.
Last night I encountered a green Volkswagen Polo (I think) that was driving while both his rear lights were broken. How dumb can you be? Luckily, I saw him driving on the A2, where the light floods the highway and I could see him well enough, but on the A67 there are no lights. I would have completely missed him. Hell, a truck driver on the way to Germany might miss him until the truck finally doesn't.

I pulled next to him, decreased to his speed and got his attention. I signaled with my hand his rear light was off, and the way he gestured a reply I could see he already knew this, and gosh here was another one thinking he didn't know. How stupid.

I guess I should be more of a terminal bastard on the road. I pay road taxes too, which means I pay for that road just as much as any other guy. This is my road, and how dare they endanger my life with their stupid decisions?
The next time I see something like this, I'll honk the horn so loud it'll give them a heart attack. (That goes for people playing with their phones too!) Call it active radical darwinism. If you're so bent on failing at evolution, I'm only here to help you along.

And then I'm going to call the emergency number 112 and give their license plate to the highway police. Fuck you.
