Since I won't be wrapping any more hexagons tonight, here's my September progress report.
I started late in the month because I made some more time free for crafts in stead of lounging and watching movies on my laptop. I can do both at the same time, after all.

This month I wrapped 53 x 6 hexagons (so enough for 53 flowers, excepting the center hexagon) and 5 loose hexagons where I can't seem to find the final sixth piece of pre-cut fabric. My pile of pre-cut fabric hexagons has shrunk to less than half its original size. If I were to guess, I'm about ⅔rds of the way through it.
That's 318 hexagons wrapped this month!

In total, I now have 44 flowers still to be attached to the quilt top, + 145 sets of 6 hexagons that I need to make flowers from and the 5 loose ones mentioned earlier, which will probably end up in the baggy with "flower centers" --- that is, the hexagons I have left after cutting my fabric into sets of 6 hexagons. That means if I spend a lot of time hand-sewing everything together (assuming I have enough loose hexagons for the centers of each flower), I will have 189 flowers out of 375.

Or, if you prefer stats:
Hexagons wrapped this month: 318
Flowers done: 44
Flowers ready to be sewn: 145
Flowers already attached: 29

Total flowers: 228 / 375

It looks like I'm already past halfway, but that is in no way true. Every flower is bordered by a single row of solid brown-coloured hexagons, and most of those flowers still need to be assembled, so there's plenty more work to be done!
(There's about 20 minutes of work in each flower's assembly, including wrapping. Count the hours, baby!)
I might have to sacrifice a few flower petals (sets of 6) to have enough flower hearts. I also still have fabric that needs cutting up, but I've run out of paper hexagons. That means that next up is assembling flowers!

Great stuff! You work extremely fast, if making a flower takes you only 20 mins, including wrapping the hexagons and then sewing the pieces together. Awesome!
