This week I started on my Omen update, but the text is not flowing as I'd like it to. No wonder, considering I play a character that doesn't speak. I'm having the most tremendous fun with her, miming and playing with my body, and not so much my voice. I don't have to remember names -- if I want someone I'll tug their sleeve -- and I can hardly explain myself.
This means I'm having a hard time staying out of trouble too.
I had asked Tim to write the end to my character, afraid that if he and his team would leave the plot team, nobody else would care about poor old Floortje. The whole thing is based on trust, and I trusted Tim and Harmen to write a kick-ass background for this character where other people of the plotteam might overlook it.
During the event, I started to remember more and more of my old life. I started acting on my memories, helping people that were wounded in multiple ways. Not everything went as well as they should have. If you can remember performing a Caesarean that doesn't mean you can do Thorax-surgery! (Sorry John...)
Several failed and half-succesful attempts at fixing people later (and quite a few successful ones, but somehow those are always overlooked!), my character was plucking eyes from people's faces...
One very cool instant was when Aimée was busy sewing someone up. I saw her preparing herself for a spell, and as soon as she closed her eyes and started her incantation, I grabbed the poor victim's eye. The look on her face as she finished her spell was priceless!
Then Alexandra came up with the brilliantly stupid idea to have a bird speak to me. Perhaps I could communicate that way... *headdesk*
And I only needed one last eyeball for my concoction. Sad to say, the bird never got the worm he was promised. *evil smirk*
Woe, woe! Nameless (Floortje) was bound and interrogated, but despite all the evidence nobody dared kill my character. The sheriff and the paladin played by
omdathetkan both didn't dare make the decision, and my character lives on...
I had a lot of very funny moments, interesting roleplay with Hieronymus Rex, Crimean, Tyfus and Valerius of the Order of Hazzmad, and not nearly enough moments with Bertram (
sna) and Leonoor (
karijn). More coming up in October!
