Dancing in Someren

janestarzStefan, my new dancing partner, came to pick me up a little after half past seven, and we drove to Someren, which is (roughly) to the South of Mierlo. On the way there we passed through Lierop, which reminded me of larping.
The lesson went fine. We were a bit late thanks to a road being closed, but we managed to get there in the end. We started off with a tango, to which I didn't even remember the basics. We stumbled a bit, but in the end it went fine.
Lucky for me, we continued with a rumba and a cha-cha, which were both dances I remember well. Stefan is very shy and had to be reminded to just try out some moves to see if I could follow him. I don't know the names of any of the moves, because my old dancing teacher just never told us -- the only term I know is 'Promenade' -- so I just have to see him dance his steps to remember mine.
This is kind of hard when you're dancing very close, as you're supposed to do with Ballroom dances.
Stefan is defnitely bulky, he can throw me around like I'm a toy. He's not a very good leader, but then I'm not a very good follower. I can see us dancing together for the remainder of the lesson plan though, although we probably won't make it to contests together. Still, it's a good step up from not dancing at all.
And my shoes? They were wonderful. I love love love them!
