This morning I'm cleaning out the upper frontal lobe (i.e. the attic in my brain) to make some room for thoughts and get things down in a list.
I said in my review post of 2012 that I limited myself to two projects at a time, but that's not entirely true. I'm mostly doing that for knitting (and other yarn crafts) -- not starting on a new and exciting project so current and less exciting projects actually get done. I can turn a heel quite well now, although I sometimes lose track of where I am and have to fudge it, but I can fudge it in a way that doesn't show any holes. Knitting a sock is therefor far less exciting than trying my hand at entrelac, and knitting the second sock of the pair is a chore, but it's an important thing that needs to get done so I can put that particular yarn away and FINISH the project.
The current sock is from a wool (Scheepjes invicta coloris) that knits like a dream but I'm not too crazy about the colour and pattern it makes. This is hard to predict for striped yarns. I'll still finish off the pair if only to get more practiced at it.

So here it is, the list that is clogging up my brain and needs to get out.
  • Project Ottelien
My gnome character for Maerquin is just a back-up character but I've been steadily working away at her costume. I've finished off striped kneehighs for her, and I'll use up the rest of the yarn making (probably) an entrelac shawl for her in the same colours. I'll need to alter the dress somewhat, add boning to the bodice opening, but there's no rush. She's the 'weekend' character for when Marianne kicks the bucket and her costume is wearable at this point. I still need to add ribbons to the socks since they don't stay up on their own, and a big pink bow on my calfs just adds to the character. I'm slowly picking away at this, making it a lengthy project with very bright results, but not costing much CPU cycles.
  • Project Naamloos
My new Omen character without a name is wearing CarrotApple (red kirtle, orange underdress) but the underdress is too revealing at the neckline. I need to hitch it up a bit, meaning I'll have to take most of it apart. Another dress alteration that will take up (part of) a day. I also need a new kerchief as I've been called Roodkapje (Little Red Riding Hood) behind my back.
  • Project Truestrike
The two jersey tunics I have for Truestrike are sagging and wearing out. They are getting in the way (regardless whether this is because the fabric is of disappointing quality or whether this is because of weightloss). I have linen for the new ones. I just need to make them. Another one-day project.
  • One-evening or half-day projects
Beriadanwen's chainmail needs to be repaired. I can probably do this in a single evening.
I also need to finish my summer coat: hem sleeves, make buttonholes, sew belt loops and buttons.
And finally, I need to write some things in Marianne's booklet, and finish the calligraphy in her guild book. I just need to sit down for these things and I don't seem to pick them up at this point.
  • The Empress' New Clothes
Do I really need a third dress from the pattern I made in school? Granted, it's beige with green so it's a whole new colour scheme, but do I? I guess so. Itching to start on this, so probably will make a dent in it today.
  • Stash busters
I copied Twi's Simple Sleeveless Tunic PatternTM and I want to make NoKey some tunics from the numerous bits and bobs of linen I have lying around.
I also have a variety of knit fabrics in various colours and lengths. I'll be picking them up one by one and deciding what kind of long/shortsleeve shirt to make out of them, depending on their yardage.

Not on this list, since they're less immediate or not taking up so much CPU power:
A new gambeson, knitting a sweater, making a tumbling blocks quilt, Ilse's wedding project and the never-ending homework.

I've looked at the calender and I'm giving myself until Sunday to work on TENC and Stash Busting projects, and I'll save Mondays and Tuesdays for homework. That gives me four full days (excepting chores and house work) to work on my list of homework.

Good luck with learning knitting entrelac. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it really fast. Nothing too complicated is going on and you'll learn it step by step with only a few stitch types at a time.

The tutorial you linked was nice and very explanatory. I liked it a lot, and it made it all look very easy.
