On the first day of Christmas, I finished NoKey's hat!

Fake Isle Hat
Visit the project page here.

This is my first attempt at Fair Isle, and although I haven't quite figured out yet how to make the pattern repeat perfect while you're actually knitting in a large spiral, it turned out well enough. Parts I'm still having difficulty with are keeping my tension even at needle ends (I use five double-points) and keeping the tension loose enough in the Fair Isle pattern. I had to redo the top part because it was too tight.

I'm also on the last stripe of my second Gnomensok, so soon enough I'll be picking up a new project. With the commute to Son, I will get along pretty quickly.

Yes, I must admit I did pick up knitting again so my Maerquin character can get married if she wants to. (So sue me.) I think I'm at the right skill level to knit a marriage shawl.

Impressive, seems like quite a leap from your previous work.

When you've knit two pairs of socks in a garter stitch on five double points, a hat is no different. As an added bonus: you don't have to turn a heel.
