Decadent weekend away

janestarzThis weekend we'll be spending at Castle the Essenburgh in Hierden (near Harderwijk), at the edge of National Park the Hoge Veluwe. We'll be leaving today and coming back on Sunday evening, so we can go to work or volunteering on Monday.
It's going to be a difficult weekend, to be sure. The castle is decorated in a more modern and a more original style, and the original style rooms do not have their own bathroom, but they do feature lovely windows, and tall, floor-length drapes.
Tomorrow we'll be soaking for hours in the nearby sauna, where I'll be spending some years in a bubble bath. (I'm no longer allowed into sauna's because of my skin.)
We didn't have anything planned for Saturday yet, but we'll see. We could walk in the park, go wild-life spotting, or visit one of the local towns for shopping, sauntering & etc.
Since the trip will take us somewhere in the area of 3 hours by train and it's only half that by car, we're splurging on a rental for the weekend. This also means we could visit my grandmother if we wanted to and feel like it.
The laptop is staying at home, I'll be taking knitting along and probably some books. And definitely my photo camera.
