I should probably move my ass to go and see Filter, but first and update!
Last night I saw Jimmy, the guy I kissed at the Rammstein concert. He looked older (end 20-ish) and was behaving like a complete asshole. Dancing half-naked in the rain. I’m glad he didn’t recognize me (hood, big sweater, raincape. Yeah, that probably was it *Smirk*)

I went beserk at Peter Pan! Even though Jaap wasn’t there I was up left-front shaking my ass with only one person between me and the stage.

When Beef played (so good: ska!) I climbed a tower they put up, for people to climb. Harnass and ropes and all. I made it to the top just as [in the middle of a song] Beef stopped playing their song and the singer said “what idiot would go climb when we’re performing” [me!] I had the best view ever, over the stage, the crowd, the festival terrain and even a piece of camping.

Then at Incubus I ran into Jaap, who didn’t show up at PPS. Great show Incubus had though. I didn’t get to go to Dimmu though because I was busy snugging Jaap.

Korn was amazing!

I saw Lianne do her thing on stage this morning and we had a yoghurtshake together. She’s good!
Jaap sms’d me “Where are you” so I’m about to meet up with him. I suppose we’ll see Filter. Also, I want to see 16 Horse Power, The Breeders, Jaya the Cat, Danko Jones and end Lowlands with The Lord of the Rings!

The rain is all gone, the mud is smelly and the sun is shining hard!

DID you get to see 16 horsepower? those guys are so amazing, or ... the singer is. their show in nighttown is still the best, most intimate and beautiful liveshow i've ever seen.

*sigh...*

they're playing wednesday and thursday but it's so frikkin' expensive. okay ... i'll go and cry somewhere else now.

No, I didn't see 16 HP. *scratches head* Don't know why really. Probably was doing other stuff. But Filter was good. *smiles* very good.

Tickets expensive yes. Want to go see Peter Pan in Eindhoven but Eindhoven very far from Ede. Have that problem often. Ede's not good to live in. Too many christians too.

haha ... know the problem. but we had the apers last september, that should've appealed to you?
where you there?

on the other hand, ede is nicely close to arnhem, goudvishallen, and some of the bands they have there are just too yummie! and we have a straight line to rotterdam and amsterdam ... i don't know, the only place that i miss in the line of places where i want to see shows is Groningen, but yeah ... that's like the other side of the moon, by train.

and yes, you're right about the christian bubble thing, it's sick.

but thanx to peacedog we sometimes have good bands here, you going to the punkrocknight on the 14th of sep?

dit had allemaal in't nederlands gekund, maar goed :P

'Fraid not. I have to perform somewhere with Mirror (you know, the christian blah theatre group).

Do you know Nepenthe? They're from Eder, but metal. There are some metal guitarists around Ede (which is good) and they sometimes come to the So What (the hardrock cafe near the station). This friday there's a band coming called So What (plays Metallica-like) and this saturday they have an open stage thing going, which will be good...

The Apers, been a fan for so short. Ivo (the drummer) actually is from my home town. They were so nervous for Lowlands =)

Yeah, we could do it in dutch, but there are also some english friends who read it (so it's more polite to talk english)

oh yeah, and we have such an interesting conversation ... i can image all english friends will want to read it *sarcasm mode off*

hey, were you at flevo? seen my boyfriend and fort knox play on the kar stage? i actually fell in love with him at the 5 years anniversary party of the apers ... haha.

i don't really like 'em that much, but maybe the arrogant guitarist is just the guy that makes me feel that way. but that's ok.

metal and ede ... somehow that's something that always seems to fit together, i don't really know why ...

I was at flevo, yes, but I didn't see much bands. Was kind of bummed (* understatement *) that I had to be there. Hung a bit with Lianne van Gemert (who also performed at Lowlands yay!)

Jerry, the annoying guitarist? I hear you. Kevin actually tried to set me up with him once in Arnhem. I stood up though. He was 2 heads shorter...so Kevin hauled in Marien (the tall blond guitarist) who is taken by the way. It was a fun night.

if it wasn't for paul's playing, i wouldn't have been at flevo either ... but heck, friends and a shared tent can still make it bareable.

We all need so little to keep us content / only friends and a shared tent.

I should be a songwriter *grin*
