I really need a second opinion here, even though I've already made up my mind. This is the first gnome sock I knitted (knat?) and I am in serious doubt whether I should even try making the second one. I already have two acryl/wool mix yarns lying around for more socks, it's just a matter of casting on stitches because this is a nice timewaster hobby.
With actual dress to be worn draped over it:

Gnome sock in cobalt puke
and headache pink.
I think the colours don't match well enough. What do you think?

Date: 2012-10-13 05:47 pm (UTC)I also made my pattern exactly to my measurements, so unless I tie ribbons to the top they will slide down. But ribbons are gnome-proof!
I'm not convinced though, let's see how I feel after my first real pair of real socks!

Date: 2012-10-14 07:46 pm (UTC)Wat je wel kunt doen is heel dun elastiek aan de binnenkant door de boord rijgen. Als je dat doet door de lusjes van de rechte steken (de V-tjes) dan zul je er aan de buitenkant niet veel van zien.
