Market haul
Oct. 3rd, 2012 02:34 pmI finished my pattern and went out for a little walk to the market this morning. It was nice sauntering over even though it was raining, and I found a great deal on some paprika. For one euro per bag, I can make a big splash of soup, and I just know NoKey will like them even if I don't make soup out of them. I got two bags, so soup aplenty!
Except for some leggings to go with my new dress I made in school, I didn't buy anything, but I went over to my favorite sewing machine/haberdashery shop Ricken's and picked up the supplies for my next school project: interfacing (binnenwerk), a zipper, lining fabric, two colours of thread, and some cord for the piping. When all is said and done it's already cost me nearly 40 euro's of just tailoring supplies, not even counting the fabric itself, and I haven't sewn a stitch on it all!
Hm, it might be worth taking a picture of the pile of supplies for future reference. Just to show what you need to make something (a before-and-after picture might be fun too).
I am not sure my pattern is 100% accurate, but we'll see what Helen has to say about it.
I finished turning my first heel yesterday and even though it's only my second try at a heel I'm happy how it turned out. I have no idea yet if it will fit. For my next three thousand rows of knitting I'll have to measure my foot, which makes for some interesting yoga-esque positions! And then I'll be off to grab my things for Omen.
