Obviously, I'm trying to get a postcard collection together. Or maybe I just enjoy crawling through my garden trying to get pictures after the rain has stopped...

Hydrangea

We cut the hydrangea back quite a lot last year and shaped it in spring, but it's flowering magnificently and in lovely colours ranging from violet to purple. I love it! I only wish there was more room around it and a lovely field of grass for optimal composition. But hey, it's my garden we're talking about.

Pelargonium

Pelargonium

The pelargonia (ooievaarsbekjes) come in three shapes and two colours in my garden. After the rain, they are at their best, although the wind does give them somewhat of a halo.

Minimal editing (some cropping & upping the saturation). The toughest challenge in this was the wind (foe to all macro-photography).

Looks beautiful. It must be nice to have a garden in bloom this well so shortly after the move.

We got the keys to this place on August 1st and only moved in in December. Of course, we had a warm late summer so I had the garden done by the time we moved in. All of my new plants from last year had a rough winter, but they had enough time to take root so they all survived. The blue Pelargonium is an addition from a month or so ago, but the pink ones were € 0,60 cents for their pathetic state in a clearing bin. Look at them now, eh?

The hydrangea was cut back twice, once in October and once in March, and now it is a beautiful cone shape and I'm sure it made the flowers more abundant!
My garden really is a blessing, I love it!

I agree! Perhaps I should do a set of postcards in the near future...

Thanks!
