Out of Chainmail error

Another boring train trip, that makes two this week and there's three more coming up! I need to do something useful on the train but I can't think of anything.

I've run out of chainmail, and don't have money for a new project.
I can't sew on the train, my projects are all in the planning and drafting stage at this time and there's little to no handsewing involved in the projects at this time.
I can't do my homework because I need a table for that.
I can't weave, because what would be the point I've run out of yarn. Same for knitting, crochet, kumihimo and other needlecrafts requiring yarn yardage.

So...um, help? My nails can't bear any more biting.

You could do some designing, it only takes a pad and pencil. Or, take a book with you. You will have loads, I know, if you are anything like me and I bet you won't have looked through some of them in ages, so dig them out and treat your brain to some eye candy.

Do you have an equivalent to Freecyle in your area? It's a Yahoo group over here. Predominately it's a recycling site where people post good items they no longer need, incase someone needs them to save them going to landfill. Sometimes you can post 'wanted' emails, and I am sure there are many people who have yarn lying about that you could have. Heck, If I wasn't so far away I'd send you some of mine!

I always write on the train. The rolling landscape is soothing, but you might need music to block out the conversations of other travellers.
