Still no word from UWV about talking to my WerkCoach. I'm thinking they've forgotten about me. Must be busy at their offices.
I realised that I hadn't yet applied for any jobs this year, and my first search pretty much turned up the perfect job crafting costumes for carnaval. I wrote and am very happy to plug my new portfolio in my application letter.
I'm also looking at possibilities for starting up my own business. There's quite a bit of grey area. Currently, there's me doing stuff on the side (without any officials knowing about it, and why should they if it's only a wee hour or two here and there?).
Then there's the freelancing option. Creating garments for people is all nice and dandy, but there's no way I can make a living out of it unless I suddenly become a hot item, which is not very likely a) in Tilburg and b) in this "crisis" everyone seems so hung up about. 'Freelance' will not earn me a living any time soon.
Third option, and this is what the UWV thinks about it, is to write a business plan and start up a real business, becoming a real shop owner. They have a 26-week plan, in which you still receive support but are going to wing it to make it on your own. There are two tricky things about this: 1) The 'job' I'm doing might not be paying enough to make it into a full business.
2) You need the support of your WerkCoach to get started on this track, and they seem to be ignoring me or too busy to help me.
However, I did get an idea earlier today, but that will need some work before I can even get started on this. There is a market, but Sparklewren didn't build her business in a day either, so why should I? I need practice... and that's all I'll say right now. It's secret...

Succes ermee!
