A walk on the beach
Sep. 24th, 2011 08:37 amYesterday I promised to take Lanzaned out for a walk on the beach. I took care of some errands first and drove to Pernis to pick him up and we made our way down to the Kwade Hoek near my aunt's house.
We confiscated a bench near the dunes and took out the coffee and story we are writing on, and talked for a good while, enjoying the lovely sunshine and the fresh breeze and the silence of buzzing bees and crashing waves in the distance.
Afterwards we drove to Hoogvliet and had a quick bite and some coffee. Lanzaned's coffee was very heavy metal.

We did some sauntering around the mall and then when I asked him if I should drop him off home or if he would join us in Tilburg he decided pretty much "Hey, what the heck, let's go to Tilburg". We enjoyed the nineties request top 100 and he headbanged through Smells Like Teen Spirit (the number 1) while I was queing in traffic.
I realised I really don't know the lyrics to that song, and singing along Weird Al's version...well, it does fit the situation of me not knowing the lyrics.
I pulled up at GroenRijk, who were having a parking lot sale of ugly crap and where I picked up more plants. A garden is never done, especially not if you don't have all the varieties of thyme yet! (Why I need a second variation is beyond me, but for seventy-five cents, I could hardly pass on the occasion, right?)
Today we go buy a bank, I hope, and finish the main bedroom, I hope, and take pictures and sleep there and do more work on the house tomorrow. Huzzah!
