I am not normally one to dive into a fray head-first. Usually, I await a chance to take the monster from behind, or to shoot him from a distance.
This Omen I was in the thick of it nearly every single time. I lost track of how often my torso was at 0 hp. I lost count of the times I was nearly killed. I can't even begin to count the number of bruises.

Beriadanwen must be going through a phase. I know I certainly am.

And none of it would have been possible if not for the awesome NPC crew. I have stood squashed against a tree, been flung through the air numerous times, I have jumped on top of wraiths and death knights, head-bashed, kidney-whacked, and stomach-kneed a good number of them*, and as far as I know they are no more badly bruised than I am.

I tried hard to make the fights showy, I didn't need to hold back, and I was dragged out of the thick of it time and time again. Awesome!

So if you happen to spare a toast, toast to the monsters of Omen 9. You guys rock!

The full story-update will follow later. Right now I need to find a muscle that is not aching. But it was so worth it!

*) Not really hitting them full force, of course. They just played it out so well!

It was. And no wonder that our bodies are aching: in one way or another, we kept on going and going! For instance, at one point, I'm taking a breather, standing next to Omdathetkan. On the other side of the field, I see KainElslor standing alone, cut off by four or five undead. "Reinard!", I said, "look! Jean-Louis is surrounded!" And without even thinking for a moment, immediately we go head-on and full-force breaking through the undead to aid Jean-Louis.

And there were lots of moments like these, small but nonetheless very epic; not enduring the fight calmly, but going in headlong and furious! Rawr!

I love moments like those. For instance, I never thought I could stand up this fast even when I was completely crushed, just in time to strike back a death knight running towards Omdathetkan. Falling to the ground after this action, seeing 4 or 5 people jumping on top of the deathknight. I love those epic moments !!

Going and going and going and going... I don't think I stopped at all. Sunday was the worst. After giving so much on Saturday I could hardly do it all over again on Sunday. But hey, if Reinard/Krughal/Dur'Ithil/etc. is going one-on-one with three undead, it's time to give them a hand!

Operating behind enemy lines and trying to releave the main line by taking out head honcho's was a hard task, even with the powers of Angharad to make me invicible for the enemy. Blind Swoops, Necromancers and Ghouls where a immidiate danger. Seeing two Paladins (Erik and Reinaard) dragging a Vampire towards me so I could end here with the powers of Angharad or bringing clearing a path for Durithil to take a dive on Arthur Soul Eater where some of many many epic actions. It was a lot of running and cavelier action, I say Hawroo!
