Just to get you all really curious about my stays, here's a sneak preview of my recent work.



I'm taking pattern pieces along with me in the train where I tie off and cut the threads of the boning channels. Also, my ability to sew straight lines amazes me.

I love this close-up. Finicky stitching, anyone? I think I'm slowly turning into thebatsmeow when it comes to that. *grin*

Thanks! I really like how it's turning out. I've just sewn all the boning channels and am nearly done tying off the threads.

I've recently developed a 'thing' for floral fabrics and I have to say the colours on yours are just too sweet!

It looks like you've sewn the channels before cutting out the pattern? Or is it just a trick of the camera? Good job on the straight rows of stitching, btw!

I sewed the channels onto the pattern pieces. This is 1 layer of wite roses linen, backed (fused) with 1 layer of white cotton muslin, and then 2 layers of heavy linen for interfacing. The white linen lining will be added last, when the whole thing is stuck together already.

Next step: sew facing, make eyelets!

I'm sorry but I hate prints, period. You're going to make it into something pretty despite the print though:)
