Today in the Bezinning there was an Australian talking to us. Well, I get real curious about foreigners. I always want to talk to them and ask them where they're from and what ever possessed them to come to Holland.
David (yeah, another David) is just touring through Europe. He held this little talk about friendships. How hanging out with wrong friends can be devastating. It almost sounded to me like he wanted to pursuade us not to talk to non-christians anymore, nor smokers, people who drink alcohol, or do drugs.
Sheesh!
I mean, TC is my best friend, she's in my class, and I don't think she's a Christian (not to David anyway). But she really has her principles, and sticks to her point [the stubborn brat! *Giggle*]
Strange.
Well, what I really feel right now is that I'm not open to Jesus. And I was sitting in a room filled with people who were, in some way. I really felt left out.
I mean: I go to these Christian meetings and talk to people about the love and the joy Jesus spreads, but I don't experience that love. As if I'm not open to it.
And I don't exactly know how to do that either.

Next week is bufferweek: no class but home-study! I've already filled up my week. Monday I'm going to the unemployment agency (uitzendburo) to hand in my resume and be scheduled for that job.
Tuesday I'm playing with my band in school. TC: We have the Rondeel reserved from 14.00 - 16.30! Be there, and bring some form of guitarism.
Wednesday I'll be going to my mom's. Yay!
Thursday I'm going to visit a friend I haven't seen since...long time. He's overactive and can be very annoying, but he can also awake my inner child.
Friday I'm going to the Apers. With TC.
*does cookie dance*
I have a social life after all! Yay!
And now, I'll be giving my site that promised make-over. So if you need me, I'll be webdesigning. Call: 0909-JaneStarz!

Date: 2002-03-10 07:31 am (UTC)I don't think in terms of "christian"or "non Christian". I think in terms of
good and bad. :) As long as you can justify your feelings and live accorrding
to your principals and don't hurt or insult others, who cares about all those
labels and stickers people stick on you.
And we'll be able to meet up early on friday, because: no work for me!
Just read my lj girl.

My mother lives in Ouderkerk, which is about 15 km from schoonhoven. We always go to Rotterdam, which is the exact opposite direction, and also 15 km away.
